Universal Acceptance (UA) Day 2026 — Nepal

About the Event

Universal Acceptance (UA) ensures all valid domain names and email addresses – including those using new gTLDs and local language scripts – work across applications, websites, and online services. UA is essential for a multilingual, inclusive and globally interoperable Internet.

This one-day hybrid UA Adoption and Demonstration program is designed to accelerate Nepal’s readiness for multilingual and locally inclusive digital services. It includes hands-on deployments, live technical demonstrations, and policy-driven discussions with the academic sector to institutionalize UA learning in engineering education.

UA Adoption Plan

The event features a real UA adoption and demonstration project where a live education-sector website and email platform will be transitioned to full UA readiness, including IDNs, multilingual content and EAI.
